Whether you are looking for someone to proofread your book or article, or you are just beginning a project and need some guidance, please reach out!

I have over 5 years’ experience providing copy editing and proofreading services, including on books, articles, and dissertations. I have a PhD in Modern History from the University of St Andrews (UK), an MA in History from Wilfrid Laurier University (Canada), and a BA in History from the University of Waterloo (Canada).

As the author of a non-fiction book called Race in a Godless World: Atheism, Race, and Civilization, 1850-1914 (NYU Press/Manchester University Press, 2019), as well as dozens of articles, book reviews, and book chapters, I am able to provide detailed edits and critiques on academic, non-fiction, and fiction books. I am especially eager to take on clients writing fiction as well, particularly those writing fiction with historical elements.

As a fellow writer, I will treat your work with as much care as my own. Let’s work together to make your writing the best it can be!

I have worked with Nathan as a colleague and on several projects, including my book, over the past several years. Nathan was always prompt and pleasant in his communication, and his detailed and precise edits helped to clarify and strengthen my writing. He was very respectful of my writing style, but also fully reliable with deadlines and extremely accurate in his revision of bibliographical references. And I am pretty sure my book would not have been completed without his support! I greatly enjoyed working with Nathan and would happily recommend him to others.

It has been a pleasure to work with Nathan, who has edited several of my articles. He returned the edits quickly and he was always able to answer any related questions. I would be happy to work with Nathan again in the future.
